TLO SCHOOL FOREST

Trinity Lone Oak School Forest Program
in partnership with
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR)

TLO began to transform and restore the forest in 2014, clearing out invasive species of weed and planting trees and shrubs. By 2016 many trees and native plants had been introduced, including grass where there was once dirt and leaves. Additional paths were also created at this time. Since then much upkeep has been done to maintain the forest, continuing to remove invasive species per the DNR and planting trees.
TLO's School Forest is utilized in a variety of ways year-round. Its beautiful trails are perfect for nature walks, both during the school day with a teacher and with parents after school.
The forest is utilized during the school year for classrooms, fun activities, chapel, recreation, and more. Click HERE to learn more about outdoor education.
