WEEKLY CHAPEL

Every Wednesday the students of TLO attend a chapel service in our church sanctuary. A wide variety of worship styles are incorporated, and chapels are led by TLO staff, students and special guests.

FIELD DAY

Each school year ends with an all school field day. Students compete in several stations which are located in and around the school. Students are organized in their “cross-grade” family groups. The 7th and 8th grades are the designated leaders. The competition and activities revolve around a theme.

MINI-COURSE DAY

Mini-Course Day is quickly becoming one of the most exciting days of the school year!  Mini-courses are intended to give students the opportunity to experience and learn things that are different from our regular curriculum. Activities include rollercoaster physics, blacksmithing (with a real forge!), bowling, weaving, ballet, karate, and outdoor survival.

NATIONAL LUTHERAN SCHOOLS WEEK

Traditionally the last full week in January is set aside as National Lutheran Schools Week (NLSW), where Lutheran schools around the nation celebrate the joys and honor of being a Christian school. During this week, TLO has fun School Spirit days and special activities. Above all, we celebrate being a school where Christ is the center of our education.
